Today I got a guy in to replace my RM2,500 air-conditioner. My old one was a 1.5hp Hitachi DC Inverter, meant to be strong, powerful but energy efficient.

Now, my AC guy’s telling me that new ACs are as energy efficient as old DC inverter style ACs, and 1hp ACs are just as powerful as old 1.5hp ones.

The best part?

It’s only RM900 plus installation.

Crazy how fast things can move, improve and become cheaper – all within less than five years.

That goes for anything – air-conditioners, cars and machines.

We can be stuck in our old ways, or adapt to the new things that have come to exist.
