i should be in my karate class tonight

but I still feel too exhausted to do it. Sleeping on a hospital floor for one night is more tiring than I ever imagined.

Eight years ago I would have gone, but these days, I try to listen to my body more.

When it tells me it needs to rest, I let it rest. I feel guilty sometimes, but I tell myself to let it go. Let go of the perfect schedule. The perfect workout.

Don’t push yourself too hard. You might end up dead, and that misses the point of working out, doesn’t it?

It’s 2019 and everyone is hustling one way or another. Everyone is on keto. Everyone is losing weight. And if you’re not, you feel kinda lazy.

But it’s fine. Everybody’s different. Listen to your body and allow it to rest when it needs to.
